🎯 The answer in 20 seconds

What you want Cost on Starter Cost for 10,000
Businesses only (name, address, phone, website, rating) $3 per 1,000 $30
+ company contacts (emails and social links from the website) +$2 per 1,000 ~$50
+ email verification +$4 per 1,000 verified emails up to ~$90
+ enriched decision-maker leads (name, job title, work email, LinkedIn) +$5 per 1,000 leads found depends on leads found

My real run: 3 searches in one city, 60 businesses, $0.18, 39 seconds. That's exactly $3 per 1,000.

⚙️ My real run, step by step

Here's a real job from my prospecting workflow: local home-improvement businesses in Toulouse, France.

The input (sent by n8n through the API):

  • 3 search terms: "menuiserie", "volets roulants", "porte de garage"
  • Location: Toulouse, France
  • Max 20 places per search
  • No contacts, no reviews, no images (I only wanted the basics)

The result: 60 businesses in 39 seconds, for $0.18.

Over this billing period, my Google Maps runs added up to 723 places for $2.60. Cheap enough that I never think twice before launching a new city.

📋 What data you get

The dataset opens as a table with ready-made views (Overview, Contact info, Social media, Rating, Reviews, Lead enrichment). On my run, the fill rates were excellent:

  • Place name, categories, Google Maps URL: 100%
  • Phone number: 100%
  • Street, city, country: 95%
  • Rating and number of reviews: 97%
  • Website: 93%

The "Rating" view is handy to spot businesses with lots of reviews (established) or a low score (a sales angle for reputation services):

Export in one click to CSV, Excel or JSON, or push it straight to Google Sheets or your CRM.

💸 The full price list (base + add-ons, every plan)

Item (per 1,000) Free Starter Scale Business
Scraped place $4.00 $3.00 $2.00 $1.50
Filter applied (per filter) $1.00 $1.00 - $0.53
Additional place details $2.00 $2.00 - $1.05
Company contacts enrichment $2.00 $2.00 - $1.05
Business leads enrichment $100.00 $5.00 - $4.00
Email verification $100.00 $4.00 - $2.00
Social media profile enrichment $100.00 $8.00 - $6.00

From the Actor's pricing page and my console, September 29, 2026. Scale add-on prices sit between Starter and Business.

⚠️ Key point: on the free plan, lead enrichment, email verification and social profiles cost $100 per 1,000. They're basically reserved for paid plans. The base scraping and contacts enrichment work fine on Free.

🧮 What 1,000 and 10,000 leads cost

Scenario (Starter plan) 1,000 places 10,000 places
Basic data only $3 $30
+ company contacts (emails, social links) $5 $50
+ contacts + email verification up to $9 up to $90

Two practical takeaways:

  • 1,000 leads fit in the free plan if you skip the paid add-ons (1,000 × $4 = $4).
  • 10,000 leads per month = Starter territory. $30 means your $19 plan plus $11 of overage. Scale ($2 per 1,000) only pays off at much higher volumes, see my pricing breakdown.

Compare that with buying a lead list: even at $50 for 10,000 businesses with contact info, you pay a fraction of a cent per lead, and the data is fresh from Google Maps today.

🪤 The 120-results trap (and how to avoid it)

Google Maps never shows more than about 120 places for a search in one area. Apify's scraper goes beyond that limit, but only if you set it up right:

  • ❌ Don't put the city inside the search term ("plumber Toulouse"). The Actor's own docs warn this caps you at 120 results per term.
  • ✅ Do put the business type in the search term and the city in the dedicated Location field. The scraper then splits the area to collect everything.
  • ✅ Use several close terms (e.g. "menuiserie" + "volets roulants") to widen coverage, knowing that each term adds places to pay for.

🔀 Cheaper Google Maps Actors: worth it?

Search the Store for "Google Maps scraper" and you'll find dozens of alternatives, some advertising "$0.40 per 1,000 with emails".

Actor Rating Users My take
compass/crawler-google-places 4.7 (1,816 reviews) 625K, 39K active per month Maintained by Apify, updated constantly, issues answered in under 2 days. My default
vortex_data/google-maps 4.8 (18) 3.1K Promising, much smaller user base
poidata/google-maps-scraper 4.3 (13) 2.9K Aggressive price with emails, test before scaling
boztek-ltd/google-maps-scraper 4.4 (11) 2.9K Alternative worth a test run

My rule: for prospecting that runs every week, reliability beats a cheaper price. A scraper that breaks after a Google change costs you more in lost time than the few dollars saved. I'd only switch for very large volumes, after a side-by-side test on the same city.

Google Maps business listings are public business information, which makes them one of the least sensitive things you can scrape. Still: respect privacy laws when you contact people (in the EU, GDPR and anti-spam rules apply to cold emails), don't resell raw personal data, and avoid collecting reviewer personal details you don't need. This isn't legal advice: for a large commercial project, check with a lawyer.

❓ FAQ

How much does Apify's Google Maps Scraper cost?
$4 per 1,000 places on the free plan, $3 on Starter, $2 on Scale and $1.50 on Business, plus optional add-ons.

Can Apify get emails from Google Maps?
Yes, with the company contacts add-on (+$2 per 1,000 on Starter), which reads each business website. Verified emails and named decision-makers are separate add-ons.

How many places can I scrape for free?
About 1,250 per month with the free $5, without paid add-ons.

Does it bypass the 120 results limit?
Yes, if you put the city in the Location field and not in the search term.

Can I automate it?
Yes: schedule runs in Apify or trigger them from n8n, Make or Zapier. All my runs come from n8n through the API.

Is it better than Outscraper or other Google Maps tools?
For me yes, because it plugs into the rest of my automations and the price per 1,000 is clear. I'll publish a dedicated comparison.

🏁 My verdict

For local B2B prospecting, Apify's Google Maps Scraper is the best value I've found: $3 per 1,000 businesses on Starter, 100% phone numbers on my runs, and no 120-results ceiling if you use the Location field. Add contacts only when you need emails, and keep the $100 add-ons for paid plans. 👇
